CLIENT | IRONCLAD

SERVICES | MOTION DESIGN

Ironclad's platform offers comprehensive contract lifecycle management (CLM) for business and legal teams. I was commissioned via a vendor to develop three 30-second videos
for them, working from pre-approved scripts. My creative process focused on seamlessly integrating their brand guidelines and tone to inform the video concepts, establish a cohesive visual style,
and execute the final motion design.

Ideation / Storyboards

My process, based on the requirement to blend stock footage with expressive text, started with a thorough examination of the script. I focused on extracting and emphasizing key action words to generate visual intrigue and propel the script's story. Additionally, I dedicated effort to devising unique scene transitions, ensuring the end
of each sequence fluidly transitioned into the subsequent one. Throughout this,
I strived to align the visual approach with the brand’s established minimal and sophisticated style.

Styleframes

Once the storyboards received approval, my focus shifted to developing the visual look for each scene. I achieved this by incorporating screen captures of stock footage aligned with the profile of their desired enterprise clients. Working within Ironclad’s strong and established brand identity was a significant asset. Their sophisticated palette, featuring a harmonious blend of bold and neutral tones, naturally lent itself to clean, impactful compositions that softened the presentation of the subject matter while maintaining brand integrity.

Early animations

A key design goal was to create impactful scene transitions, allowing the motion from one sequence to flow dynamically into the next. I leveraged expressive text to visually propel the narrative, carefully synchronizing it with the voiceover. Integrating moments of surprise and delight was also a priority to enhance viewer engagement.

Feedback

Client feedback on the initial proofs for all three videos was overwhelmingly positive, requiring very few edits. The requested changes were largely limited to swapping out specific stock footage selections, indicating that the design and animation accurately captured their vision from the outset. Final delivery required only slight adjustments
to polish the details.

Final Delivery

Following a final polish of the animation, the videos were fully approved, and the client commissioned the creation of additional social media formats (1x1, 4x5, and 9x16).
The resulting videos were well-received by both myself and the client. Ironclad's sophisticated brand enabled the creation of sleek animations that proved highly effective in articulating their value proposition to prospective clients.
